Course Objectives:
The course “Update on Non-Invasive Neuromodulation in respiratory dysfunctions” aims to promote the technical and scientific basis for the use of non-invasive neuromodulation techniques in the treatment of respiratory dysfunctions in a safe and effective way for the patient and therapist, as well as disseminating the use of this innovative therapy in the hospital environment.
The course program includes classes on:
- Bases of functional neuroanatomy;
- Bases of respiratory physiology and mechanics;
- Challenges of non-invasive neuromodulation in the hospital environment;
- Scientific evidence for the use of neuromodulation in the hospital environment;
- Management of patients with comorbidities;
Target audience:
Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Doctors, Speech Therapists, Physiatrists and those interested in the area (with training in the broad area of health).
Requirements for Participation:
Professionals qualified to use non-invasive brain stimulation techniques (provided proof via course certificate, handout or minimum academic experience in accordance with the requirements and/or workload specified by the DECISION for each professional category).

Online with synchronous and asynchronous classes.
