Course Objectives:
Improve technical and scientific knowledge of the use of non-invasive neuromodulation techniques for the management of motor dysfunctions in patients suffering from stroke.
The course program includes classes on:
- bases of functional neuroanatomy;
- use of complementary exams as support tools for directing treatment;
- mechanisms of post-stroke plasticity focusing on theories of structural and functional reorganization after stroke;
-factors predicting responses to neuromodulation protocols;
-quantification of motor responses using functional scales;
-scientific evidence for the use of neuromodulation in motor rehabilitation of the upper and lower limbs;
-management of patients with comorbidities;
-impact of pharmacological interaction on treatment with neuromodulation.
Target audience:
Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiatrists and those interested in the area (with training in the broad area of health).
Requirements for Participation:
Graduated healthcare professionals who have already completed basic training in neuromodulation.
