Sobre

Short-term neuromodulation course focused on clinical application (30 hours of transcranial direct current stimulation and 60 hours of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation). This is a training course in repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation and transcranial direct current stimulation techniques. These techniques are capable of promoting neuroplasticity and have gained prominence in the area of motor and cognitive rehabilitation due to their potential ability to enhance the effects of traditional therapies. During the course, teachers will provide students with a clinical approach based on non-invasive brain stimulation and applications in various clinical conditions (pain, cerebrovascular diseases, movement disorders, spinal cord injury, neurodegenerative diseases, pediatrics, use in sports, etc.).

Program content:

  • History of neuromodulation and overview of neuromodulation techniques
  • Cortical Localization System
  • Physical, physiological principles and fundamentals of transcranial magnetic stimulation
  • Physical, physiological principles and fundamentals of electrical stimulation
  • Neuroplasticity and Metaplasticity
  • Peripheral electrical stimulation associated with non-invasive brain stimulation
  • Safety aspects in the use of neuromodulation
  • First aid applied to neuromodulation
  • Neuromodulation and physical performance
  • Clinical applications in chronic pain, diseases of aging, psychiatric diseases, movement disorders, language disorders and tinnitus, in neurofunctional dysfunctions after stroke, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury.
