ABOUT THE COURSE
Mental health problems are among the most disabling disorders throughout life, and first-line treatments are not always effective, requiring the search for therapeutic alternatives. In this context, non-invasive neuromodulation can be a relevant tool to promote symptom relief, especially in anxiety and depression. Therefore, the main objective of the course is to deepen the assessment and treatment of anxiety and depression disorders through neuromodulation.
10 hour certificate.
SCHEDULE
- Presentation of the course and guidelines, summary of techniques and professional performance.
- Neurocognitive processes and neuropsychology applied to neuromodulation
- Anxiety: definition, contextualization, causes, epidemiology, signs and symptoms. Diagnosis, comorbidities, anamnesis, testing and evaluation of anxiety. CBT in anxiety.
- Depression: definition, contextualization, causes, epidemiology, signs and symptoms. Diagnosis, comorbidities, anamnesis, testing and evaluation of depression. CBT in depression. Treatments for depression.
- Association of neuromodulation with other treatments.
- Data search and interpretation.
- Interpretation and critical analysis of studies on neuromodulation in anxiety and depression.
- Presentation of clinical cases
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
Graduated healthcare professionals who have already completed basic training in neuromodulation, in accordance with the requirements of the Councils of each professional category.
ACTIVITIES
- Asynchronous classes can be held at the participants' preferred times and will begin on March 4, 2024. Available for 30 days.
- Synchronous class held on the 8th from 5pm to 7pm
